Androniki Naska is Associate Professor of Hygiene and Epidemiology at the University of Athens Medical School. Her research and scientific interests focus on nutritional epidemiology and particularly on: (a) the development and validation of new dietary assessment methods (b) the evaluation of the measurement error introduced when collecting health-related data (c) the study of diet-disease associations and (d) the nutrition monitoring of large samples of the general population. As a faculty member, A. Naska participates in the teaching of epidemiology, research methodology, health promotion, prevention and public health to under- and post-graduate students of the University of Athens School of Medicine. A. Naska has additionally given lectures on epidemiology and nutritional epidemiology to post-graduate students of the Aalborg University (Copenhagen, Denmark), to the Dept. of Public Health and General Practice of the University of Kuopio (Finland), the School of Medicine of the University of Porto (Portugal) and to the Dept. of Biosciences at Novum of the Karolinska Instutute (Stockholm, Sweden). A. Naska is Vice-Chair of the Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies Panel of Experts of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), Chair of the EFSA Working Group on Dietary Reference Values for minerals and Member of the WHO Collaborating Center for Nutrition and Health in the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics. A. Naska has published 141 original research papers and reviews (more than 8,000 citations and h-index = 47, according to Google Scholar accessed on May 2017).
